The 36-episode urban drama "A Good Life" will officially start airing on April 17th and will be broadcast on CCTV-8 at 19:30, with 2 episodes broadcast every night. It will be exclusively broadcast on Youku, and VIP members will get the first 3 episodes.
The drama is produced by CCTV, Shangshi Pictures, and Youku, directed by Wang Jun, written by Fei Huijun and Li Xiaoliang, starring Sun Li and Dong Zijian, and co-starring Myolie Wu, Gao Xin, Chen Yao, etc. The story tells the story of 39-year-old insurance practitioner Hu Manli who was suddenly attacked by a competitor, and both her career and family were challenged. The instigator turned out to be the 28-year-old rich second generation who had just entered the industry. After several encounters, the two learned the truth behind it, gradually resolved the misunderstanding, joined forces, and became an excellent "opening order" partner who was both a teacher and a friend.

"A Good Life" was incubated by Shangshi Pictures for 6 years, and brought together a group of excellent Shanghai local actors such as Sun Li. The screenwriter Fei Huijun is also a native Shanghai girl, and the director Wang Jun has created many Shanghai-produced boutiques. The play is also a major literary and artistic creation funding project of the Shanghai Cultural Development Foundation, and has received special funds for cultural development in Xuhui District, Shanghai. It is another masterpiece of "Shanghai Production".

Shanghai scenery in the play
This purely Shanghai-based team fully integrated Shanghai style into the characters' lines, art settings, life details and other aspects of the play. It is particularly worth mentioning that the play was filmed entirely in Shanghai, with more than 100 days of location shooting in 86 different urban spaces in Shanghai. From skyscrapers, CBD shopping malls, to Shikumen alleys, and Wutong District cafes, Shanghai is shown in all its forms through each shot, allowing the audience to immerse themselves in all aspects of Shanghai culture.

This is also the second time in recent years that Sun Li has portrayed the career growth story of urban working women after "Home" and "Ideal City". This series closely follows the pulse of the times, taking the insurance industry as the professional background of the protagonist, and exploring the realistic issue of "life needs insurance, and how should we insure life". Through the ups and downs of the two protagonists' careers, a group of urban portraits are drawn, and their optimistic attitude when facing setbacks reflects the social aspects of ordinary people. Then pay attention to the different social groups represented by each insurance policy, and explore in depth from multiple angles. Livelihood topics such as medical care, elderly care, marriage, parent-child, and family financial management reflect social development and changes in the times.
