The “most powerful” Micius survey telescope in the Northern Hemisphere was put into observation and released photos of the Andromeda Galaxy

Today, at Qinghai Lenghu Astronomical Observation Base, the Micius Sky Survey Telescope, which has the strongest optical time-domain survey capabilities in the northern hemisphere, was officially put into operation. This will bring my country's time-domain astronomical research capabilities to the internationally advanced level. A photo of the Andromeda Galaxy taken during the trial observation phase of the telescope has been released. The photo is a superposition of 150 photos obtained by the Micius Sky Survey Telescope through a total of 150 exposures of 30 seconds each. This is the highest-resolution image of the Andromeda Galaxy with the largest field of view in the world.
