On February 17, the 2021 and 2022 annual awards ceremony of the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation was grandly held at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse. The 2021 and 2022 Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation Science and Technology Awards have been awarded to 112 outstanding scientific and technological workers. The Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation’s highest award, the Science and Technology Achievement Award of the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation, was awarded to Academician Hu Side of the China Academy of Engineering Physics and Academician Lin Ming of China Communications Construction Corporation.

Academician Hu Side has been engaged in theoretical research and design work for a long time, has participated in or presided over and led a number of experiments, and creatively solved a series of key technical problems; important contribution to construction. Academician Lin Ming has overcome many world-class problems in the Waihai Island Tunnel Project, and formed a cross-sea immersed tube tunnel construction technology system with independent intellectual property rights; he presided over the construction of my country's first and the world's longest cross-sea highway immersed tube tunnel, which is a great contribution to my country The highway immersed tube tunnel has made an important contribution to catching up with the international leading level.

The Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation Science and Technology Progress Award is awarded to 66 outstanding scientific and technological workers who have made major scientific discoveries or made outstanding contributions in the fields of mathematical mechanics, life science, and engineering technology. The Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation Science and Technology Innovation Award consists of three categories: Youth Innovation Award, Industry Innovation Award, and Regional Innovation Award, and is awarded to 44 outstanding scientific and technological workers.

The Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation was founded in 1994 by Hong Kong patriotic financiers Ho Sin-hang, Leung Kai-kui, Ho Tim and Lee Quo-wai, aiming to reward outstanding Chinese scientists and serve the country's modernization drive. Over the past 29 years, a total of 1,526 outstanding scientific and technological workers have been selected and rewarded, which has become a successful example of my country's social forces creating science and technology awards, and has played a positive role in stimulating the vitality of my country's scientific and technological development and cultivating independent innovative talents.
